Lipp stainless-steel diaphragm cover
for covering large-scale steel and armoured (reinforced) concrete containers. The requirements for keeping the air clean, which have become increasingly strict over the past few years, are required for safe covering of containers with problematical content. This concerns areas of municipal waste-water disposal and the chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries. The Lipp stainless-steel diaphragm is an obvious choice for the perfect covering of existing steel or armoured (reinforced) concrete containers and its Lipp Dual-Seam System containers. The self-supporting, light-weight diaphragm design of stainless steel - with high mechanical strength and resistance to ageing - enables containers with diameters of up to 100 m to be spanned. The material stainless steel simultaneously assumes a supporting shape and one that closes off space and withstands snow loads and high winds.
The Lipp stainless-steel diaphragm cover is corrosion-resistant, gas and vapour diffusion resistant and not susceptible to UV radiation or damage. The lightweight design of the diaphragm is excellently suited to covering volatile and explosive substances, and, in the case of an explosion, prevents components from flying around. Welding work at the installation site is eliminated by prefabricating the diaphragm at the plant.
