Gas Accumulators

Patented system for pressureless gas storage from 30 – 3,000 m³ for sewage, landfill or biogas.

High functional and operating safety as well as investment and maintenance costs are aspects to be focused on when selecting, building and operating gas containers. For 20 years now, a system for pressureless dry gas storage, developed by Lipp, has proven itself and has outstandingly met all past and present requirements.

This system consists of a bubble-shaped storage balloon and a steel container produced with the Lipp Dual-Seam System, which protects the container from mechanical damage and the effects of weathering. The gas is stored without pressure in the storage balloon which is made out of cloth-reinforced plastic and which is resistant to biogas.

The pressure required for later consumption is generated with a gas blower in the consumer line. This system operates very safely and is virtually wear-free. Sizes between 30 and over 3,000 m³ are available, depending on the requirements.

The content is measured mechanically and appears on a display in the form of a measuring staff with a pointer and - as an option - also electronically via a radar unit, installed on the roof, with a connected evaluation and display device.

All gas containers are designed in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and have DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) approval.
